Sign Of Hope

Green glass collection from Zenful Goods!   http://www.etsy.com/shop/ZenfulGoods

Do you have certain items in your house that just speak to you? What kinds of things do you like to collect? I love green glass and Cardinals. My favorite color is green and I love the way the light shines through the glass. It adds a mystical earthy feel to any room.

Cardinal Figurine from Faith N Hope 10! http://www.etsy.com/shop/faithnhope10

Cardinals have a special meaning to me. Many years ago when I was going through a hard time in my life I was looking out the window and asking, "Why me?" All of a sudden a Cardinal landed in a tree close by and I felt it was a sign that everything would be OK.

Twenty-one months ago I lost my beloved sister in a tragic accident. It has been devastating to me. Seeing a Cardinal gives me hope when I'm down. Whether it's while camping or inside my house I always seem to see one. For me it's a sign that I'm being taken care of and everything is going to be fine. It is my sign of hope.

What kinds of things do you like to collect? Why do you collect them? Do they give you comfort and mean something special to you?
I don't know if it's magical, mythical or spiritual maybe all three but for me the things I collect, I collect for reasons of the soul.
Green glass + Cardinal's = My signs of hope.

What are your signs of HOPE?

  1. I actually collect Barbie dolls! Why? Every year my dad gets me one for Christmas. We had our rough patches b/c we are similar and so different in many ways. I always felt him giving me a barbie doll every year was his way of telling me "I love you always." Now I am 28 and I still cherish those dolls with all my heart.
